YR Learnt about Animals

This month we have been learning about animals. We have explored the difference between domestic and wild animals as well as animal habitats. As part of our topic, we visited Odds Farm.
The children had a wonderful experience, seeing farm animals up close. They went to a workshop where they learned about where milk comes from and observed a cow being milked. They even got to feed some lambs! We also walked around the barn and saw sheep, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs. After lunch, the children had a tractor ride, where they got to see different types of cows, such as the Highland cow. And finally, the children explored the soft play area, with slides and climbing equipment. After such an eventful day everyone was ready to return to school.
As always, the children's behaviour during the trip was excellent. Well done to all Reception children.
