Y4 The Baker by the Sea

In English, Year 4 have read a book called The Baker by the Sea by Paula White, about a fictional seaside town and the people who live there. As the town has had some setbacks- surviving two world wars and a great flood- it needed to encourage tourists to visit. To help, Year 4 have written travel brochures to promote the town, including information about what the town is like and what there is to do (including the famous bakery!). They were challenged to use different types of sentence, include expanded noun phrases and prepositions, as well as writing persuasively!
