Yr 5 Primary Shakespeare Project
Throughout the summer term, Year 5 have been taking part in the Primary Shakespeare Project, studying the play Twelfth Night in their English, Art/DT, Music and Maths investigation lessons. Over the weeks, 5K have also rehearsed for their special Twelfth Night performance with a trained actor named John. This involved acting warm-up activities and rehearsals for Act 2 of Twelfth Night to get the class prepared and ready for their performance of the play at the Ryan Theatre on Wednesday 28th June. 5K performed their act alongside four other schools: Grange, Woodlands, St. Anselm’s and Vaughan, with each school taking on a different act to perform to the large and rather daunting audience. The whole class did themselves proud after working so hard to learn the play in such detail and for not letting the pressure get to them on the stage of a professional theatre, confidently acting and speaking so clearly. Bravo!
