WAYS TO HELP

There are a number of ways you can help us support our school.

Contact us using our online form if you are interested in becoming involved in the RCC, have a fundraising idea or would like to find out more about what we do.  It is up to you how much you want to be involved, from occasionally helping out at our events, to contributing to the planning and running of our fundraising efforts.  All efforts our welcome!

We are looking for:

  • Potential committee members who would take a real hands-on approach to organising events and keeping the RCC running.  We have one position still available for this year for Vice Chair.

  • RCC Team members who regularly attend the meetings and help organise activities but do not want to be a committee member.  You can be included on the RCC WhatsApp and will get meeting minutes.

  • RCC Volunteers this is for anyone who is happy to be a spare pair of hand for a couple of hours when we are doing events and running activities.

You might also have some other skill that you think will be of use, please let us know!

You can also help us by shopping through Easy Fundraising or checking whether your employer offers a match-funding scheme.

Company Match Fundraising

Many organisations offer their employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts through match funding. This is when an employer offers to match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their employee is working on.

Hundreds of UK companies participate in these types of schemes including major high-street banks, building societies, supermarkets, energy companies, car companies and large retailers. However, these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.

This is a really simple and easy way for you to help us to double the money we raise at our events. All you have to do is:

  1. Email or ask your HR Department if they participate in a match-funding scheme and what their criteria is. Let them know that the RCC is a registered charity (no. 1019351).

  2. Let us know if your employer takes part by completing our online form or email us at rcc@roxeth.harrow.sch.uk.

  3. We will then take it from there and help you set this up with your employer.

HOW DO WE RAISE MONEY?

The RCC put on a variety of events throughout the school year. These include social activities such as the Christmas and Summer Fairs, School Disco and Film Night. We also raise money through clothes drives, recycling printer cartridges, pre-loved school uniform sales and selling cakes/ Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

The RCC is a registered charity (no.1019351) and can accept donations or Company Match Fundraising. Easyfundraising raises a small amount too.

We are always looking for new and innovative ways of raising funds so please contact us using our online form or email us at rcc@roxeth.harrow.sch.uk with any ideas.

WHAT IS THE MONEY SPENT ON?

We work closely with the school to identify how best to spend the money we raise.

In the past, we have contributed money towards:

  • Refurbishment of the school hall

  • Subscription to Purple Mash

  • Widget Symbol software to support early years and children with Special Educational Needs.

  • New school ovens to be used at the After School Club

  • School minibus

  • Refurbishing the reception play area

  • Wet weather toys

  • The Infants playground climbing frame

…and much more. Our fundraising really does make a difference to your children’s school experience.
