Welcome to Hillview Nursery School

Hillview Nursery school is situated within Hillview Children’s Centre.  We are located on Northolt Road in South Harrow (opposite the police station).  Hillview is an integrated nursery working in partnership with Roxeth School, we currently have 31 children on roll. We have allocated spaces for children with additional needs who are  referred by the local authority. Our nursery school offers all three and four year olds 15 hours of funded education a week in either a morning or afternoon session. We can also offer two year old children 15 hours of free education providing parents meet certain criteria set by the local authority.  Wrap-around care is available, as well as breakfast, lunch and afterschool club.  We are also open during school holidays offering a play scheme for 4 – 9 year olds.

Hillview Nursery school is bright and spacious; the physical environment is resourced to a high standard with specialist equipment within our new sensory room. We are fortunate to have a large landscaped garden which is partly sheltered so the children can access the outdoor area in all weathers. Outdoor play is an essential part of nursery life – giving children opportunities to use the environment as a source of learning.

Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to support each individual child and work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that each child receives the care and provision they need to reach their full potential regardless of race, gender or disability.

Our partnership with parents is essential to our work, we believe you are your child’s first teacher and we value your opinions and support. We believe in children learning through play, we offer a safe, stimulating learning environment to enable children to develop and achieve. We provide an enriched curriculum to ensure all children thrive and make the first steps to becoming independent learners.

All activities, experiences and routines are planned to meet the seven areas of learning from the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Our nursery routine enables the children to initiate their own play alongside staff conducting focus activities based on children’s interests and next steps.

Our aim is to keep children and families at the heart of all we do and offer the best possible start to their future education. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child and their family.

If you have any questions or would like to visit our nursery please contact me and we can arrange an appointment.

I look forward to working with you and your child at this exciting stage of their development.
