ENGLISH WEEK 14

Lesson 1-Read the story ‘The Boy who liked chocolate’ on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS5a7Hn8RqQ or start to read the story of Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Describe your favourite chocolate bar using adjectives and in sentences. You can draw your favourite chocolate bar too and even eat one if you have one!

Lesson 2- Design your own chocolate bar. Draw and describe it. What is it called? What shape is it? What does it smell like? What does it taste like? What sort of wrapper does it have? Is it a soft or hard chocolate? – See template for lesson 2

Lesson 3-look at the Power Point on Expanded Noun phrases for Lesson 3 and re-cap on what it means. Complete the learning sheets on expanded Noun Phrases Lesson 3. Expanded noun phrases can also include a ‘with’ for example- A tall, beautiful tree with green leaves. Make up some of your own sentences using expanded noun phrases

Lesson 4- Go back to the descriptions that you did for lessons 1 and 2 when you were describing your favourite chocolate bar and also the one that you had designed. Now you need to edit what you have written by adding expanded noun phrases that you practised writing yesterday. Add expanded noun phrases to you those pieces of writing.

Lesson 5- Complete the comprehension all about Chocolate- see lesson 5 comprehension

ENGLISH WEEK 15

Lesson 1-Read the story about the superhero princess- see lesson 1.Write a description of the superhero character. What did she look like? What did she do? What else can you say about her?

Lesson 2-Write a list of all the superheroes you know from any stories or books you have read. Choose your favourite one and describe it like how you described the character from the story yesterday.

Lesson 3-Design and draw your own superhero. Use templates for lesson 3. Write a description of your character.

Lesson 4- Complete a superheroes comprehension –see lesson 4

Lesson 5- Read some riddles related to the superhero story from Monday and work out the answers. Then write your riddles. See lesson 5 sheets.

Lesson 2- Look at Power point for lesson 2 on Local habitats and the complete the activity for Lesson 2 for sorting British habitats

Lesson 2- Look at the power point for lesson 2 on parts of a plant and plant needs. Then complete the activity for plant parts and planet needs –see both activities for lesson 2.

Lesson 3- Complete the activity for plants that we eat –see lesson 3

Lesson 4- Look at the power point for lesson 4 on observing plants and trees. Then complete the activity for labelling parts of a tree- see lesson 4

Lesson 5- Look at the power point for lesson 5 on plant life cycles. Then complete the activity for life cycle of a sunflower
