Lesson 1 • Go through Cinquain powerpoint. • Write a cinquain about thunderstorms.
Lesson 2 • Go through Limerick PowerPoint. • Use the template at the end of the powerpoint to write your own limerick.
Lesson 3 • Go through Shape poetry powerpoint. • Draw an outline of your object and write your poem inside.
Lesson 4 • Go through Acrostic poem powerpoint. • Write an acrostic poem of your choice.
Lesson 5 • Complete ‘Mummy Poem’ comprehension
Challenge extension • Go through ‘Mummy Performance Poetry powerpoint’ • Complete ‘Rhyme and Rhythm Investigation’ sheet • Complete ‘Poetry Detective’ sheet • Use ‘My Performance Poem Plan’ and ‘My Performance Poetry checklist’ to plan and create your own performance poem and perform it to your family.

Click on week 1: Every day of the week, you can complete one lesson.
Watch the video, then click on Get the activity (you can either print it or just look at the questions on the screen and write the answers on paper) and try to complete as much as you can. Remember you can watch the video as many times as you like. You can also pause the video and try the activity; if you get confused, then watch the video again.
After that, click on Get the Answers and selfassess your work.
